What exactly is Pick’Em?

The Pick’Em is “a game of predictions and upsets: make your selections for which teams will win and lose, receive points, and battle your way to the top of the Global Leaderboard,” according to Riot. Participants can compete against their friends in smaller groups, as well as compare their performance to notable League of Legends personalities, in addition to competing against the larger League of Legends community.

How can you participate?

Participating in the Pick’Em is easy: simply clicking “Get Started” on the Pick’Em website (while signed in to one’s Riot Games account), fans may navigate to the Crystal Ball section and begin entering their predictions right away. As the competition proceeds, more prediction choices will become available.

Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Crimea, Donetsk People’s Republic (“DNR”), Luhansk People’s Republic (“LNR”), Sudan, Venezuela, Syria, China, Quebec, Taiwan, Philippines, Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Myanmar are among the countries where the challenge is not available.

What is the scoring process?

Play-In Stage: Correct choices get five points during the Play-Ins Knockout stage.

Group Stage: Two points are granted for each correct prediction made by teams advancing to the Quarterfinals (plus three more points if placed in the right order). For accurately guessing third and fourth place, two points are rewarded (two more points for the whole group).
