The Pick’Em challenge is one of the most thrilling components of Worlds for fans. While watching the worldwide event, fans may compete with their friends as well as the rest of the world. What exactly is Pick’Em?
The Pick’Em is “a game of predictions and upsets: make your selections for which teams will win and lose, receive points, and battle your way to the top of the Global Leaderboard,” according to Riot. What is the scoring process?
Play-In Stage: Correct choices get five points during the Play-Ins Knockout stage.
Group Stage: Two points are granted for each correct prediction made by teams advancing to the Quarterfinals (plus three more points if placed in the right order). For accurately guessing third and fourth place, two points are rewarded (two more points for the whole group).
The stakes rise in the knockout round, with correct predictions for the Quarterfinals worth five points, Semifinals for ten, and Worlds Finals worth twenty.
